Flutist Kate Steinbeck and harpist Jessica Schaeffer embrace the notion that 1+1 = something greater than 2. As such, they continually explore repertoire that speaks not only to their individual instruments, but also reflects the unique nature of their personalities and collaboration. This program leans toward modern lyrical – from Leonard Bernstein to South Carolina waltz-composer Andrew Levin and mystical Alan Hovhaness – with a common thread weaving throughout.
What thread is that? Kate and Jessica’s love for what they find beautiful, surprising, sublime, and exciting (and sometimes challenging!). Join these Pan Harmonia musicians on a journey into the breadth and depth of life, distilled in music!
COVID Precautions: Masks will be available for anyone who needs one. Per CDC guidelines, we ask that you stay home if you have tested positive for COVID within a week of our performance, or if you are experiencing symptoms.
